This user guide will walk you through integration of Sears API into your KartzHub account channel. Please follow the procedure described below.
Prerequisite for this procedure is that you have established Sears online shop with implemented categories and products. First thing that will be described is preparation of your Sears web service and making it able to provide functionalities needed in KartzHub.
As you will need Sears API Key to integrate in KartzHub, please follow the procedure for the Key creation. This procedure assumes that you do not have created API account at Sears:
Create an API Key
In order to get started with the Sears APIs, we need to create an api key to be used by the application. The api key that we’re going to create can be used to authenticate requests to any Sears Web Service API and that includes an API for fetching products under Baby Category.
In order to obtain an api key, first you have to sign up for sears developer account at http://developer.sears.com .Your sears developer account is different from your sears account that you use for shopping. So you have to create a new account if you don’t already have one.
Enter the information requested on the account registration page. If you have an existing Commission Junction affiliate ID, you can enter it by clicking on “Have an Affiliate ID with Commission Junction”. Once you are finished filling all the required information, click on “Register” button to continue.
Once you submit your application for account registration, you will get a confirmation email at the email account you entered during registration. The information you provided will be reviewed by one of our Sears associate and a decision will be made based on that. You will receive a confirmation email if your application is approved or denied. If your application is approved you will also receive an API key which is required to call any of the Sears API available on the portal. Once that’s done you can just copy and paste the API key to the file where you’re going to include the class for accessing the API later on. The following screenshot (i) shows us where to find the api key in developer portal.
